Prüm-Cycling

From Prüm to Waxweiler in about 18km, without great climbs through wild and romantic nature. Directly on the track is the Eifel Zoo Lünebach.

Eifel Ardennes bike path

This leads from Prüm to St.Vith (Belgium) and is about 40km long. Sights along the way are a small railway free-lance museum in Pronsfeld, the Biberdamm in Alfbachtal, the lead ore mine in Bleialf (May-Oct.), And a very nice cafe in Lünebach (May-Oct.).

Enz bike path

This leads you from Pronsfeld to Neuerburg in about 25km. Along the old railway track into the valley of the butterflies in the nature reserve Irsental. Here, nature shows itself from its most beautiful side. Continuing along the route, you will pass two more tunnels and then arrive at the historic town of Neuerburg with its picturesque old town.

Nims bike path

From Weinsheim to Irreler mill is about 60km. Attractions on the route are the nature reserve Schönecker Switzerland, the castle ruins in Schönecken, the castle Rittersdorf, the Irrel waterfalls and the Teufelsschlucht, as well as the Westwallmuseum.

Here are some examples:

Discover the well signposted route 17 km around Prüm, with various sights such as Prüm with its basilica, the museum of local history and the information center “Mensch und Natur (Man and Nature)”, as well as a wonderful panorama over the forest city Prüm.

If you do not want to go on your own, you can join a guided hike. These are regularly offered via the Eifelverein Prüm. Here you go in a group and the guide also tells you something about the region.

A very special hike is also the guided smugglers tour. This is a 7 km long route across the green border to Belgium. The guide will take you on a journey back in time, telling you about the life of the smugglers and cross-border commuters, as well as a smuggling tour in a thrilling and entertaining way. Ice Caves Birresborn

14 km from Prüm you will find 2 downhill slopes 700 m and 800 m (long), 2 ski lifts, a natural toboggan run 450 m long, 1 toboggan run, as well as signposted and groomed cross-country trails (about 10 km), and a well-signposted and cleared trail (about 5 km).
